Our Piano Transitions classes are taught using the "Music Moves For The Piano" book/CD, preparing young children for formal piano instruction. Children will make music through music play and improvisation at the piano as well as with music & movement activities away from the piano. Each 45-minute class includes echoing tonal and rhythm patterns, singing songs, and movement. These activities build a music vocabulary and develop audiation skills, or the ability to "think" music. Simple keyboard pieces develop a familiarity with the piano and form a base for physical movement that is tension-free. Drop-off class, with parents welcome to stay and observe.

Piano Transitions classes run for 15 weeks. Class size limited to 4 students.
Tuition: $285 for new families (includes $15 new-family registration fee); $270 for returning families.
Materials fee: $15 (for take-home songbook/audio CD)
