CMCJP Registration Policies

Music Together® registration/refund policies: There are no full refunds. Refund minus $10 processing fee for returning families (or $15 new-family registration fee for new families) granted for withdrawals BEFORE second class of term only, regardless of attendance. For withdrawals beyond this due to extreme circumstances or emergency situations, a credit for up to 5 classes can be applied to a future Music Together term. Families may make up 2 classes per term, space permitting (makeups must take place within current term by attending alternate class times, and makeups are not guaranteed).

Private Lesson registration policies: There are no full refunds. Lesson fees minus $10 processing fee for returning families (or $15 new-family registration fee for new families) available only BEFORE start of term. Prorated refunds are available through your third lesson day (this includes your trial lesson, and is regardless of whether you've been absent from lessons or not). No refunds will be granted for withdrawals taking place after third lesson day of semester, unless/until we are able to fill your lesson slot, which we will make every attempt to do. $15 new-family registration fee is non-refundable. Failure to attend private lessons without proper withdrawal does not release a student from the responsibility to pay lesson fees. All lesson fees minus original deposit are due on first day of semester unless other arrangements have been made. We're sorry, but we are no longer offering payment plans for piano lessons. You can conveniently pay for lessons by credit card on our website. If you don't wish to pay at time of registration, a $50 deposit will reserve a lesson time and can be paid by check mailed to CMCJP. Full balance is due at your first lesson. Lesson slots cannot be held for registrations without payment.
Absences/makeups: One student absence per 16-week term will be made up at the end of the semester. All teacher absences will be made up at the end of the term, or a refund will be issued. Teachers will wait 10 minutes for a student who is late for a lesson. Students are asked to do the same for teachers.

Group class registration policies: There are no full refunds. Class fees minus $10 processing fee for returning families (or $15 new-family registration fee for new families) available only BEFORE start of term. Beyond start of term, prorated refunds available only if withdrawal occurs BEFORE second class of the term (regardless of attendance). Full tuition minus original deposit is due on first class day. There are no makeups for student absences. All teacher absences will be made up at the end of the term, or a refund will be issued.

Snow Cancellations: In the case of extreme weather conditions, please check in with CMCJP at either 617.524.1784, or on the website at jamaicaplainmusic.com where information will be posted regarding center closures.
We will make up only one snow day per term for all programs. Snow days beyond one will not be made up.
