This class, taught by director Christy Zarlengo, is a "big kids" music and movement class. Children will explore concepts such as solfege (Do-Re-Mi), and rhythmic and melodic notation, taught in an age-appropriate context. Class includes singing/movement activities and dramatic musical play, drawing from the principles of both Dalcroze and Kodaly, drumming, some basic keyboard exploration, and learning about the instruments in the orchestra. A drop-off class, but parents and caregivers are welcome to attend!
45-minute Young Musicians classes run for 10 weeks. Class size limited to 6 students.
Tuesdays 4:30pm, starts September 23
Tuition: $190 for new students (includes $15 new family registration fee), $175 for returning students.
