These classes, for  4-6 year-olds and their parent or caregiver will serve as an introduction to the violin.  The class uses Suzuki methods and materials. Parents help create a rich learning environment by participating and being a model for their child. Classes involve singing, movement and learning position fundamentals on either box violins or child-sized violins. A great stepping stone between group music classes and instrumental study, as well as an easy way to explore the Suzuki method. Class is taught by teacher Ofelia Martinez

This class can be taken using a "box violin" which is provided in your take-home materials. You can also opt for a violin rental - click link below for information.  Children can take this 6-week class twice, the first time with a box violin, the second time with a child-sized violin.

Class runs for 6 weeks: 

Ages 4-6 years:   Mondays 3:35 - 4:20pm,   March 8 - April 12 

Tuition (first child): $150* for new families (includes $15 new-family registration fee), $135* for returning families

Sibling tuition:  $105 (includes box violin & bow) 

*tuition includes $35 materials fee (for Suzuki Violin Book 1/CD, and a box violin & bow) which are provided at your first class.  If you already have a violin, or wish to rent one rather than using a box violin, or if you already have the Suzuki Violin book and CD, please contact Christy prior to registering so that we can adjust your materials cost.
